| Kursiu nerija national Park visiting rules |
- Kursiu nerija National Park is one of the most visiting protected areas in Lithuania. The high season of tourism has already begun. The direction of national park is hospitably waiting for tourists who like and really appreciate nature.
In order to make your holiday without any accidents and mess you should get acquainted with regulations when visiting National Park. In order to preserve the unique nature of Curonian spit, the following activities are forbidden:
• To drive off the asphalt roads
• To park the cars in unsigned places
• To put up tents
• To make fire in unsigned places
• To walk in the dunes and to climb the dunes or to damage them in other way
• To damage flora, to collect plants that are included in to Lithuania Red Book
• To pollute the environment, to damage signs and other equipment
• To make noise, to disturbs the birds during the nesting and migration periods, to destroy their nests
You should pay an exceptional attention for regulations and interdicts when visiting strict nature reserves (Grobstas and Nagliai strict reserves)
It strictly forbidden to visit nature reserves without the permit of Park Administration except the specially equipped routs as bicycle tracks and cognitive foot-path in Nagliai strict reserve arranged on the 31st km of the road from Smiltyne to Nida. You should pay attention that its warrantable to walk only the signed paths.
The persons that infringe the visiting regime of Curonian spit national park are charging with pay fines up to 500 Lt (Code of Administrative Law of the republic of Lithuania)

- 25 May , 2007. Opening day of the educational – ecological path “Nature puzzle” by project EU Interreg IIIB BSR EAGLE “Nature centres and environmental interpretation in the Baltic sea region” in Kursiu nerija national park.

The Curonian Spit national park direction invites all tourists to visit the path of “Nature puzzles” and spend their leisure in the open. The exposition will help You to get acquainted with natural values of the Curonian Spit.
Nature is rather sensitive here. Take care of it! Don't damage the equipment of the path and hold back the devastators of nature, making them follow your example!

- Visitors who choose cycling are offered a new service. Bicycles rents are available in the settlements of Smiltyne, Juodkrante and Nida. For your comfort you can rent bicycles at one of the rent spots and return them at either of the others.
